Home Sight Testing Consultation Options:
Carr Opticians can provide either Private Home Eyecare consultations or Free NHS Home Eyecare consultations. The difference is that Private Consultations are available to all. The Free NHS Home Eyecare consultations are available to anyone who one or more of the following categories apply:
- If you are aged 60 or over and unable to attend a High Street Opticians unaccompanied.
- Registered blind or partially sighted.
- Diagnosed as having Diabetes or Glaucoma.
- Prescribed a complex lens (lens power over +/-10).
- Receive Pension Credit Guarantee Credit (this does not include savings credit).
- HS certificate for full help with your health cost costs.
- Aged 40 or over and have a first degree relative with Glaucoma (this means if either your mother, father,sister or brother has or had Glaucoma).
- You are named on a NHS certificate for full help with your health cost costs Under 16, or under 19 and in full time education.
- Income support Income-based job seekers allowance (does not include contribution based).
- Income-based Employment and Support allowance (does not include contribution based).
- Child tax credit and are named on a tax credit NHS exemption certificate.
